Every year on July 11, there is a celebration of world population day to bring attention to concerns related to population growth.

Ladyhill English Higher Primary School, class IV B students, during the assembly, raised awareness of the day by celebrating World Population Day. The factors causing the population growth were discussed. The students conveyed their genuine concern for the safe development and well-being of the human race.

They emphasised the negative effects of the population growth, such as the scarcity of food and water, war and other forms of social unrest, and the loss of natural resources. They connected problems like poverty, unemployment, lack of education, and housing with the threat of population growth. Through posters and catchphrases, they emphasised the need to control population so that future generations may enjoy the resources that are already available.
