If there is one area of life that teaches us the most valuable lessons about perseverance, patience, and what it takes to be a perfect person, it is sports.

Ladyhill English Higher Primary School hosted its Annual Sports Meet on January 11th 2023, a day filled with fervour and excitement experienced amid thrills, shrills, and cheers. Miss Mrunali J.P., a former LEHPS student and Karnataka state volleyball player, was the day's chief guest. The dignitaries and chief guest were escorted by Headmistress Sr. Maisie to the music of the school band, directed by Mr. Vijay Olivera. The day then began with a beautiful performance by the choir as a salutation to the Lord Almighty. Asst. Headmistress Sr.JyothiCrasta welcomed the guests and dignitaries with a floral and formal welcome.

The March Past was then held, which was a highly competitive event in which the upper primary classes vied for first place. The audience then witnessed Physical Education exercises performed by lower primary students, followed by exercises by the upper primary students using hoops, dumbbells, and lazieums.

The lighting of the KreedaJyothi, carried by the school champions of swimming, wrestling, and volleyball, as well as the sports minister, who asked the Chief Guest for permission to light the Cauldron and declare the sports meet open, was another highlight of the day.The Chief Guest recalled her role in the school's athletic performance and encouraged the students to maintain their sportsmanship while also being persistent, refining their talents, and reaching the highest of heights. The audience's attention was then drawn to the much-anticipated athletic events of classes 1-7, where student competition was at an all-time high.

The children Jessica Serena Johnas and Prithvika S Karkera were recognised for taking first and second place in the state level wrestling competition, while the school's wrestling coaches Yuvaraj Puthran and Girish Karkera were awarded for their dedication to the students and school.
