Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, commonly known as the Iron Man of India, was born on October 31. This day is commemorated as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, or National Unity Day.

As a class activity, the students of Ladyhill English Higher Primary School's class 6B celebrated National Unity Day to reinforce our commitment to preserving and strengthening our nation's unity and integrity.
A prayer was offered before the presentation to ask for God's blessings. To emphasise the importance of the day, the students  put on a meaningful cultural performance that had skits, patriotic songs, dances, and information on Sardar Vallabhai Patel. A few wise words from Sardar Patel gave the programme  extra depth.
The program's chief guest, Tr. Renilda, dwelt on the importance of Sardar Patel's contribution to the unification of India (Ek Bharat) from more than 560 princely states. The children were shown Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's attempts to unite the nation through a powerpoint presentation.
The occasion offered a chance to reiterate our nation's innate strength and resilience in the face of both present and future threats to its unity, integrity, and security.

The programme concluded by saying that, Our country is great because of our unity; it is who we are. Even illness becomes wellness when I is changed to We. Unity brings about harmony, and harmony brings forth peace.
