The Van Mahotsava festival is an annual celebration in India and to spread awareness about trees and forest the students of Class 5 and Class 8 at Ladyhill English Higher Primary School hosted Van Mahotsava Day in a colourful and graceful manner.

The festivities began with the entrance of the Chief Guest, Sri. S. Mahesh Kumar, Asst Commissioner of Police Bunder, Mangalore, who was led by Sr. Violette Tauro AC, joint secretary of Ladyhill Institutions, Sr. Jennifer Moras AC the Headmistress, Sr Ivy Moras AC, assistant headmistress to the stage.

It was followed by an introductory and passionate prayer session, where students and teachers came to ask graces for the day's activities.

           The students' passion and delight in honouring Van Mahotsava was highlighted with an exuberant welcoming dance.

         The event was inaugurated by the principal guest, Assistant Commissioner of Police Sri S. Mahesh Kumar, who planted a sapling. This legislation emphasised the significance of individual responsibility in environment conservation and the necessity for every person to contribute to a greener earth.

     Sri S. Mahesh Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Police, addressed the students, recognising Van Mahotsava as a spiritual celebration. He underlined the need of loving and respecting Mother Nature in the same way that we do our own moms. He encouraged the pupils to plant saplings and maintain them, ensuring that they receive the necessary care for growth.

     To understand the significance of Van Mahotsava, thought-provoking slogans, skits and songs were presented. The performance emphasised the virtues of love, compassion, and environmental responsibility. It urged the audience to think about their activities and make deliberate decisions to protect the environment.

     Ladyhill English Higher Primary School's Van Mahotsava Day celebration was a spectacular success, leaving a lasting impression on the kids and teachers. Students and instructors demonstrated their dedication to environmental protection and a better future by actively engaging in the plantation drive.
