The 2023 International Yoga Day event at Ladyhill English Higher Primary School began with a prayer session led by Class 7 students in which they sought God's presence and blessings. Sister Jennifer Moras A C, the Headmistress, assisted by Sister Ivy Moras A C , physical education teacher Sapna, and Madhulashree, the student who achieved the India Book of Records in Gandaberunda Asana, then proceeded to light the diya, symbolising the power of light to dispel darkness.

The performance of students from a special yoga session led by instructor Kavitha Ashok was the event's high point. The students who had signed up for this session exhibited their abilities and varied asanas (yoga postures), leaving everyone in wonder. Their performance was brilliant and mesmerising, perfectly portraying the essence of yoga. Following that, students in grades 6 to 8 took part in various yoga asanas.

The Headmistress underlined the necessity of establishing a daily yoga practise, particularly in the morning, in her message. She advised the students to make it a habit since yoga not only promotes a healthy body but also a healthy mind. The programme intended to motivate students to include yoga into their daily lives by reminding them of the myriad benefits that yoga provides.
